In support of the auction of the WD-40®/ SEMA Cares Foose Challenger, which we designed and built here at Foose Design, I will be appearing at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz. this Friday, January 20th.
We unveiled the vehicle, a 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8, in November to a packed house in the Grand Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center on the first day of the annual SEMA show. Since that day, the vehicle has been on a publicity tour, appearing at the San Diego International Auto Show and the Silicon Valley International Auto Show. Its final stop is Barrett Jackson, where the vehicle will roll across the auction blocks at approximately 6pm MST on January 20th. All proceeds will go to two worthy children’s charities; Childhelp, an organization that provides services to abused and neglected children, and the Victory Junction Gang Camp, which provides life-changing camping experiences for disabled and chronically ill children.
None of this would be possible if not for the kind support of our sponsor WD-40 Company. In association with SEMA Cares, this is their 3rd charity vehicle at Barrett-Jackson in as many years. They truly have a commitment to charity and community and I’m so thrilled that we were able to help with this year’s vehicle.
Features of the vehicle include Street Scene/Foose Design custom front and rear spoilers, Pirelli P Zero tires, MHT/Foose custom one-off 5-spoke billet wheels, BASF Paint custom mixed by Chip Foose, Lanzini BodyWorks paint based on Chip Foose Design, Hotchkis Suspension TVS Stage 1 package, Katzkin upholstery with embroidered WD-40 brand logo on all four headrests, K&N Filters fresh air induction kit, Magnaflow cat-back exhaust, 3.5" with 5"x14" muffler, polished stainless steel quad tips, and an ACT Street twin clutch kit.
Look for me up on stage with this unique vehicle, we hope to generate as much as we can in support of these charities. Come say hi as I'll be signing autographs the morning of the auction at booth AF-13 and, if you can’t make it to the show, please be sure to tune into the SPEED Channel, as they offer all-day coverage of the event from 12pm-10pm on January 20th, 2012.
Don’t forget - Lot 3032 at approximately 6pm MST on Friday, January 20th!
