IIkka, Just want you to know that WD-40 is non-conductive and works well to displace moisture from electrical components. You should always make sure the power is off before using. You can find out more by searching "electric" or "electrical" in our 2000 uses list here. Thanks!

Depends on the electronics you're talking about. Of course the old points type ignitions are pretty much gone except in classic/muscle cars, but "back in the day" if one went to the car wash and cleaned your engine, moisture would get in the distributor. A shot of WD in there would dissipate the moisture and get you back up and running. I don't think I'd use it any of today's electronics for the home, unless I was sure it wouldn't do more harm than good. Not sure about today's auto electronics so prevalent under the hood. But I would imagine it would have the same properties/abilities to help conductivity when moisture gets in. I was a GM technician when "com****rs" (ECUs) were introduced in the 80s, which were nothing compared to what's under the hood today. So I'll reserve that assessment to someone in the game now.

I use it to clean different terminals and ****ctors on my vehicle but would not use it on any of my home electronics.....just in case!!
