Any other equestrians have a story like this? I got the zipper stuck on my paddock boots and almost had to cut myself out of them before I found the WD-40 and was able to get the zipper working again. Full disclosure: I've also used it on my half chaps. : )

Robert, I don't think that would be good for the leather in the long run. I'm also curious to see if anyone has experience with this, though.

I'd bet WD would work well for turning hard old leather into soft leather...

DONT use on Tan shoes! Almost totally ruined my New Loakes by cleaning a scuf with WD Bro. My Loakes are fetch! www.robinsonsshoes.com/loake-design-rang... but the WD make the leather go all dark...Not cool! I only just saved them by turning it into a personalised desige! Classic... like im talking leg-END! so for you less artistic W-Debies...keep it away from the shoes! PEACE

Works on zippers for sure.....it does discolor tan or light colored leather but keeps it soft and waterproof too..... Even coats are the key so it doesn't end up all splotchy
