My Testimony: I have been using WD-40 my whole life. As a mechanic it comes in very handy. Tonight I discovered a new use for it. I was out for a drive when the car started to over heat. I pull over and add some water. Try to start the car. Nada. The head gasket is blown and water in the cylinder mixing with the fuel and flooding it out. I try holding the gas pedal to the floor hoping it will force more fuel and counter the water. Battery starts to die. Dang it now I need a jump. Being on top of a mountain on a back road and it being 10:00pm, very few cars pass by. 2 cars pass by and don't even slow down. With my hood popped and me waving and calling for help. Thanks. 2 more hours pass. A car passes by, turns around and pulls behind me, and turns on his blue lights. Oh thank heavens for a cop. He hooked up jumper cables. But no dice. There is too much water to allow it to fire. So I call my buddy and he is on his way. We try to jump it off again. Still no good. If only I had my tool box so I could pull the spark plug and let it dry out. Darn it I left my tool box in the garage. I need some starter fluid, but it's in the tool box. "Hey buddy, do you have a socket?" "Sure do, but no extension long enough." Dang it. "Got any starter fluid?" "Nope all out. all I got is WD-40." "Hummm. Let me see that." I look on the can and read "Warning FLAMMABLE" AH HA!!!! So I spray some into the intake. Crank her over. She putters but no start. "Spray some more!" I yell. and I see a cloud of spray coming from under the hood. I turn the key. Putter putter blub blub VAROOM!!!! YEAH BABY!!!!!! She started, and ran like a champ the whole way home.

I now have a can of WD-40 in my glove box where it will stay.
