Last week, the WD-40 Company team got to join Childhelp for its annual “Drive the Dream” gala prior to the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Orange County, Calif. The event raised $325,000 for Childhelp, which meets the needs of abused, neglected and at-risk children, and does great work to treat and prevent child abuse.
Check out photos from the event.
As you may remember, the WD-40/SEMA Cares Camaro, WD-40/SEMA Cares Mustang and WD-40/SEMA Cares Foose Challenger have raised a combined total of more than $400,000 for Childhelp® and The Victory Junction Gang® Camps children’s charities over the last three years. We’re proud to be a partner with such a great organization!
At Barrett-Jackson, held the three days after the gala, the first 2013 SRT Viper was auctioned off and raised $300,000 for the Austin Hatcher Foundation, followed by a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 fastback, which raised $253,000 as the highest-selling non-charity car.
