Don't ask me how it works, but I spray WD40 on my lures and it really seems to attract the fish to bite.

My Dad has always told me that he used WD40 on his lures and that's why he's always done well when he fishes. I didn't believe him 'til I saw him do it with my own eyes!

I spray WD40 on my lures too. Did it just last night. It really helps keep the hooks & rings from rusting when stored.Although a cleaner lure with sharper hooks will catch more fish, I doubt fish are attracted to the smell. Don't get me wrong; I like the smell, but last time I looked I was not a fish.

I also spray WD-40 on all my car gaskets surrounding the doors and trunk,It keeps them lubricated.all rubber will dry out in due time but you can stop it by spraying WD-40 on them.
