When you’re watching your weight, what’s the first piece of advice you hear? Cut out some calories and stop drinking beer and soda. Yeah, right. Counting calories is for wimps (And so is drinking light beer and diet soda.) Instead, here’s the manly alternative: The WFB (Workout for Beverages). The key here is to increase your activity level. And that doesn’t mean you’ll have to spend your weekends at the gym. In fact, just consider your yard as a giant gym. You can complete all those jobs you’ve been meaning to do and lose a little weight, all without depriving yourself of your favorite beverage. Below is a handy chart that tells you how many beers/sodas you’ll burn for each hour of activity.
Working out was never so much fun, or productive. In fact, you can invite a buddy over to join in. You’ll enjoy some good bro time, get some stuff done and then have the perfect excuse to kick back in the shade and enjoy your favorite refreshment as a reward.

A little bit of math. This is the approximate amount of calories a 205-pound guy will burn for each hour of activity. If you weigh more, you’ll burn even more calories. Oh, and we’re talking about real beer and real soda which is about 150 calories a serving. (Light beer is about 100 calories a serving and diet soda has nearly none, but what’s the point?)
