As many recover from the impact of Hurricane Irene, our thoughts go out to the families affected and those helping with recovery efforts.  Whether it’s cleaning up debris, dealing with flood damage, recovering from stress or injury, or repairing damage to your home, getting your life back in order can certainly be trying.

WD-40® Multi-Use Product is not the answer to all of your problems, but it can help with a few things … Here are some hints from other fans about how you can use the product during storm recovery efforts:

• Drive moisture out of engines, wet ignition systems, spark plugs and distributors
• Help remove floodwater marks from paneling and metal surfaces
• Displace moisture from electrical parts, sockets and lamps – helping to eliminate shorting and current leakage
• Help remove rust and grime from metal tools and surfaces exposed to rain or floodwater

Note:  Prior to saturating flooded equipment with WD-40 Multi-Use Product, remember to unplug from electrical power sources and flush out all dirt and debris with fresh water.  Make sure to allow a reasonable amount of time before restoring power.
