To easily determine where to place a nail or hanging device for a picture frame, make this simple hanging tool. Use a piece of wood about 1/4" thick and 6" in length. You may need it to be a little longer for a very large frame. Grab a nail large enough to go through the wood and extend out the other end to hold the wire or string of the frame (a large head nail is best). Pound the nail through the wood about 1" from the bottom of the wooden piece. Hang the frame on the nail and either push against the picture approximately where the nail is, or hold the wood against the wall, remove the frame and push in on the nail head. A small indentation will be on the wall to mark the location for the hanging nail/device.

I use WD-40 on the job to polish slate on fireplace surrounds. Slate often dulls and will polish up for several months with a little WD-40. Submitted by users to WD-40 Jobsite. Hang pictures without splitting walls!

To hang a picture and keep the wall from splitting, you can either heat the nail or screw OR place a piece of masking tape over the area where the nail or screw will go into the wall. Or, to be extra sure, try both! Submitted by users to WD-40 JobSite Sink Garbage Disposal Reinstallation

When installing new garbage disposals, here's a tip to make the process a snap. When repairing or replacing an under-the-sink garbage disposal, getting the unit seated and adjusted just right to fit the ring can be awkward. To assist in this one-man job (by necessity), a standard automobile hydraulic jack does the trick. Use it to lift the unit, and in minutes the garbage disposal is in place and the installer's hands are free to turn the garbage disposal into the ring.
