Is there any truth to the rumour that wd40 can repair paint scratches on cars

I use WD-40 all the time on my work truck. It kept my old 1989 GMC 1500 from creaking and groaning. I also use it on my spray pump and motor. Tool box hinge gets a squirt every few months also. So many uses .....

WD-40 would work well with wet sockets.

I was working out in the rain with my sockets...I probably should clean and protect them.

I had a few minutes to spare the other day so I emptied my tool bag out and gave my tools the WD-40 treatment. One of my adjustable spanners has been playing up for a while. I thought it was going to the big tool shed in the sky. A squirt of WD-40 later and it was as good as new. Magic!
