Do you have at least one bathroom that seems tiny? While you may not be able to make the room bigger physically, here are some tips that will help you at least create the illusion of a more spacious bathroom.
With paint and fixtures, try to at least keep everything in the same tone and color as much as possible. This could include painting the ceiling the color of the walls or blending the color of your tiles to the color of the walls.
Covers or shutters on windows can make a room seem darker than it should be. Let in the light! Add task and ambient lighting, and even a skylight, if possible.
A large mirror can go a long way – the reflection naturally makes it seem like there’s more space. Even better, find a mirror that doubles as a medicine cabinet to save on physical space.
Shallow cabinets and vertical storage units can help save space in tight areas. HGTV has some clever storage ideas you can peruse.
