Looking for the right way to upgrade your home, without breaking your back or the bank? With the right preparation and a little time, you can transform your home with just a few simple projects. Here’s a roundup of 4 projects recommended to add life, charm and value to your home:

    1) Re-Paint a Room
If you spend a substantial amount of hours a day in a particular room, it’s important that the environment in that room is one of comfort. Changing the color of a room can help achieve this and can be done in a couple hours and a few easy steps.

    2) Trim Ceilings with Crown Molding
From making small rooms feel larger to using it as decorative trim to add charm, crown molding is an easy and inexpensive way to enhance any room and boost your home’s curb appeal.

    3) Hang Exterior Shutters
Give yourself and your neighbors some extra privacy by adding exterior shutters to your windows. Shutters not only protect your home’s windows against wind, rain and too much sunlight, they also add visual appeal to the front of your home.

    4) Create a Mosaic Backsplash
Creating a mosaic backsplash out of china or glass is one of the easiest ways to transform a plain kitchen wall when you’re on a tight budget. For some, it can be as simple as just shaping, cutting and gluing. With subtle color variations of translucent glass or china behind a range or sink, you can create an eye-catching area with a one-of-a-kind look in your kitchen.

TIP: Use the WD-40® Specialist® Rust Remover Soak to remove rust from rusted items left outside your home and restore them back to their bare metal glory.
